Lubricated Plug Valves
South East Texas Valves & Automation
Professional lubricated plug valves for oil and gas pipeline service. Available in sizes 2" to 36" with pressure ratings from ANSI Class 150 to Class 2500.
Plug Valves Overview
Plug valves are among the earliest valve designs ever developed, with origins tracing back as far as ancient Rome. Today, they remain widely used across industries such as oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical processing, water and wastewater treatment, and pulp and paper manufacturing.
Their versatility makes them suitable for a broad range of applications, including oil and gas transmission lines, compressor stations, drain and vent service, blowdown systems, manifold isolation, and other demanding service conditions. Plug valves are most commonly used as quarter-turn valves for shutoff and on/off functions, though they can also be adapted for throttling or modulating service when required. Operation can be manual or automated with electric, pneumatic, or gas-over-oil actuators.
Thanks to their straightforward construction and minimal part count, plug valves deliver a compact design, reliable zero-leakage performance, long service life, and simplified maintenance.

SET Valves Expanding & Lubricated Plug Valves
SET Valves designs and manufactures lubricated plug valves that are particularly well-suited for oil and natural gas pipeline service. They are available in sizes ranging from 2″ to 36″, with pressure ratings from ANSI Class 150 up to Class 2500.
All SET Valves plug valves are produced under a rigorous quality management system certified to ISO 9001 and meet the design requirements of API 6D, API 608, ASME B16.34, along with other applicable industry standards. Every valve carries the API 6D monogram, ensuring compliance and performance consistency.
